Basil "Butch" Eugene George - Obituary

asil Eugene “Butch” George, age 59, a 45 year resident of Edgewater, died Janaury 6, 2023 of liver cancer after a two year illness. Born in Tipton County, IN on June 28, 1963 to the late Gary and Rosa George, he worked for 28 years for Ray Sears & Sons and for six years for Cuddy & Associates. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and Sons of the American Legion and he was an avid fan of motorcycling. Butch is survived by his wife of 19 years, Connie George; his children, Anthony (Stacey) George of Harwood, Kenneth Armiger of Annapolis and Jasmine (Ryan) Shipley of Crownsville; his step-children, Anthony (Tracey) Schutte of Shady Side and Kimberly (Joseph) Guy of Stevensville; his grandchildren, Graycen, Karter, Ryan, Jr., Jon, Mason, Anthony, Jr., Chase, Charlie Lou, Serenity, Lily and Kara; his brother, Gary George of Anderson, IN; and his half sisters, Christine Dillinger and Susan George, both of Anderson. A celebration of Butch’s life will be held on Sunday, January 15 from 1-4 PM at American Legion Post 226, 830 Mayo Road, Edgewater. Please use the side entrance where the ramp is located. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Butch’s memory may be made to the Wellness House of Annapolis, 2625 Mas Que Farm Road, Annapolis, MD 21403
